How it works
Your first family photo book, in three steps
Install Yaadgaar from Google Play and start a circle for your family. Send the invite code on WhatsApp so everyone can join.
Yaadgaar shows the photos you’ve taken lately, already ticked. Untick what doesn’t belong and add the rest, or share photos in straight from WhatsApp. Each photo lands in the month it was taken, alongside everyone else’s.
Pick a few months, or the photos from one day, and choose a cover. Yaadgaar lays them out as a photo book, in regular photo size or A4. Turn its pages in the app, send the PDF round, or print it at any photo shop.
While the album fills up

Each day Yaadgaar brings back a few old family photos worth another look, such as the same month years apart or every Diwali side by side, with a short caption. Keep the ones you love for your next yaadein.

What is Yaadgaar?
Yaadgaar is a private family photo album app for Android, made for families in India. Everyone in your family adds their photos to one shared album, arranged by the month they were taken, and you turn the best of them into yaadein: a photo book you can read in the app or print.
Is Yaadgaar free?
Yes. Yaadgaar is free while it is in beta, with no ads. Your family’s album starts with its own space, and the space, and the pages in each book, grow as more of your family joins and verifies their email.
Who can see our family photos?
Only the people in your circle: the family members you invite with a code. There is no public feed, nothing is shared outside the circle, and members see each other’s names, never their email or phone number.
How do I get our photos out of WhatsApp and into one place?
On Android, share photos straight from WhatsApp or Google Photos into Yaadgaar. Each photo is filed under the date it was taken, not the day it was shared, so old photos land in the right month. Yaadgaar also offers the photos you have taken lately, already ticked.
Can I print the photo book?
Yes. Yaadein are made as a PDF in regular photo size (4R, 4×6 inches) or A4. Read it in the app with real page turns, send it on WhatsApp, or take it to any photo shop to print.
Is Yaadgaar on iPhone?
Right now Yaadgaar is for Android phones, on Google Play.
What does “yaadgaar” mean?
Yaadgaar means a keepsake in Hindi and Urdu. Yaadein means memories, the name for the photo books you make, and a jhalak is a glimpse: the few old photos the app brings back each day.
